  • Rev. sierra westerman - pastor

    pastorwesterman@elutheran.church

Sierra Westerman has served as Pastor at Emmanuel Lutheran Church since 2023. Though born and raised in the Inland Northwest, Pastor Sierra comes to us most recently from rural Minnesota, where she served as Pastor at a little country church for seven years. She is a graduate of Whitworth University in Spokane, WA and Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, NJ. Her greatest joy in ministry is making genuine connections with God’s beloved people and creating space within the community for others to make those same joyful connections too. In her free time, she enjoys losing light saber fights to her nephews, reading fiction, playing board games, sharing good meals with friends and hanging with her doodle dog Ralphie.

  • janet mcintosh - director of music

    janetm@elutheran.church

Janet McIntosh has served as Music Director/Organist at Emmanuel Lutheran Church since 2008. She has worn many hats within the music ministry over the years including directing the adult choir, youth choir, adult bell choir, youth bell choir, and special ensemble groups. She also works to make music available for a variety of musicians to join in worship. On any given Sunday, instrumentation may include guitars, bass guitar, violin/fiddle, viola, cello, flute and clarinet. There was even an accordion once! All are welcome to join in! Janet believes that music can reach people in unique ways and often reminds her choirs that any time the choirs sing/play, some may be receiving Jesus through music for the first time in their lives, and some people for the last. It’s an important ministry at Emmanuel. Along with her position at Emmanuel, Janet holds degrees in Music Education and spent many years teaching orchestra in public elementary and middle schools. Music seems to run through every part of her life and she wouldn’t have it any other way!
