Ms. Desiree is the teacher for students in the Bears classroom. The Bears class is for students who turn 4 by September 1st. Desiree is a mom of 2 and has experience working with children for 15+ years, including working as a child care center director in Nevada. Desiree is knowledgeable about early childhood education and developmentally appropriate practices for preschool age children. She naturally creates a sense of community and belonging in her classroom. Her energy and passion for early childhood education is infectious. Desiree is currently certified in pediatric CPR and First Aid.
Jordyn Nafsinger is the teacher for students in the Cubs classroom. The Cubs class is for students who turn 3 by September 1st. Jordyn has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Communication Studies from the University of Idaho. She is a mom of 2, and has experience working as a childcare provider, substitute teacher, and served as the President of the Moscow Rendezvous for Kids. She supports active learning and promotes independence through play, exploration, and problem solving. She encourages a love for learning and inspires those around her with her passion for education. Jordyn is certified in pediatric CPR and First Aid.
Lisa is the teaching assistant in the Bears classroom on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Lisa has a bachelors degree in human development and family studies with a minor in sociology. She is a mom of 6 and has leadership experience with over 50 children in a religious congregation. This is her second year as an assistant at Emmanuel Lutheran Preschool and we are so lucky to have her! She is incredibly attentive and intuitive to each child’s needs. A word doesn’t even need to be spoken and she is there doing exactly what is needed. Her passion for teaching the kids is a wonder to behold. Her favorite part about working at Emmanuel Lutheran Preschool is the kids and the wonderful people she gets to work with.
Amber is the teaching assistant in the Cubs classroom on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Amber has a bachelors degree in recreation management with a minor in recreation therapy. She is a mom of 4, and has experience working as a childcare specialist and as a head soccer coach. She fantastically fosters each little child’s personality and is well loved by her students. She is able to create a sense of comfort for each child in the classroom. She loves working at Emmanuel Lutheran Preschool because of the team of ladies she gets to be around. As she puts it, “they are an unstoppable force of good.” ❤️
